What is a Mother’s Blessing?
The Mother Blessing Ceremony is a heartfelt and sacred celebration created to honour you, the mother-to-be, as you step through the transformative portal from maiden to mother, or mother again. Inspired by ancient traditions, this ceremony goes beyond the typical baby shower- it’s not only about welcoming your baby earth side, its about deeply honouring your pregnancy and the extraordinary journey of birth and motherhood you are preparing to walk.
Surrounded by your closest friends and family, we will create a sacred gathering filled with love. Each ceremony is personalised, weaving together readings, blessings, heartfelt stories and meaningful rituals with the people that mean the most to you. Together we’ll share laughter and emotion, creating a day that strengthens your inner confidence and fills you with the energy and love needed to birth with trust and power.
As the circle of women gather around you, their collective energy becomes a powerful source of support- a reminder that you are held, celebrated and never alone when you step into the birth portal. Your Mother Blessing can take place in the comfort of your own home, or within my beautiful bell tent, Juno Sage, a serene and unique space that holds up to 10 people- perfect for creating a peaceful and sacred atmosphere for your celebration.

Circle Ceremony
A truly special part of the Mother’s Blessing is bringing everyone together to share readings, poems and well wishes for you as you enter into motherhood.

Bead Giving
Everyone brings a type of bead/stone which may have significance. The beads can be made into a necklace or bracelet for the mother to keep and have with her in labour, or they can be placed upon the alter.

Flower Crown
This beautiful crown can be a lovely activity for the guests to make and be worn by the mother to be. The flowers can be seasonal, chosen for their significance or simply the mother favourites.

Thread Ceremony
A ball of thread is tied around the mother to be’s wrist and is then passed around to the all guests. This symbolises everyone being connected and a reminder of the ceremony, each guest cuts & ties their thread to make a bracelet. The thread is kept on whilst keeping the mother in their thoughts and it is only cut once the baby is born.

Sharing a Meal
Sitting down and sharing a meal altogether after the ceremony is the perfect end to the day. Everyone can bring a dish or you may wish to have a theme, either way there will be plenty to choose from and enjoy.
